My name is Fiona Harnett and I am a fully qualified counsellor. I have trained in both Gestalt and Person-centred modalities. I endeavour to meet and understand every client’s unique experience of the world. Tailoring a personal approach to your therapeutic journey which embraces the authentic you.
I have worked in the NHS as a bereavement counsellor and also work for a low cost counselling service where I see both long-term and short-term clients.
I offer a chance to reflect on the difficulties or problems you are experiencing in a safe and confidential environment with someone from outside your day-to-day life. Together we can explore your situation in a way that leads to fresh perspectives and perhaps a new understanding of yourself. Counselling is not about giving you solutions or advice but empowering you to make your own changes.
I work with adults and young people (11-18 years) from all walks of life, coming to me with a diverse range of problems.
As a fully-qualified counsellor I am a member of both the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and also the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and I abide by their ethical codes. I am insured and have full DBS clearance.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works or to arrange an initial assessment appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right counsellor to help.
My location:
I provide face-to-face counselling, home visits and walk-and-talk therapy in the Buckinghamshire area as well as telephone counselling and online sessions for clients throughout the UK. I have some availability for face-to-face at rooms in Aylesbury town centre.
