I am an experienced BACP accredited psychodynamic counsellor working with adolescents and adults. My aim is to help you to explore, understand and manage issues in your life which may be causing distress, confusion or difficulty.
To do this I believe it is important to know yourself and to be able to utilize your resources. This helps to build resilience and a personal toolkit, which you can use to resolve problems and pursue goals that are meaningful to you.
It is important to me and I believe important for the work that we take time to establish a working relationship built on trust and respect so that you feel safe. I do this in a non-judgmental, empathic way working at your chosen pace.
I have worked with adult clients at the Counselling Foundation in St Albans for a number of years (both short term and long term). I am the Programme Tutor for the Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling Course run by the Counselling Foundation. I worked for five years as a school counsellor for young people aged 13-18.
I have a private practice in St Albans as part of Stah Counselling and I help to run the Dunton Centre in Bedfordshire .
