I am a Gestalt therapist, which means that I work with people ‘as a whole.’ We will focus on the ‘here and now,’ and explore how past experiences have impacted how you show up in the world today, including the therapy room. We’ll think about your process, pattern of relating and be curious about any challenges, blocks or feelings of overwhelm that you are facing.
Our therapeutic relationship forms the basis of our work together – and I would describe my approach as empathetic and non-judgemental but within clear boundaries to create a sense of safety and stability. Therapy may feel challenging at times, but I also bring a lightness of touch in how I work and will always encourage whoever I work with to come just as they are.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the corporate sector both here in the UK and abroad. In addition, I have experience of working with organisations that support people who have faced trauma – whether in earlier life or more recently.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP 00973667) and work in accordance with their ethical framework.
