I am an integrative therapist. This means that I work with ideas and methods from various traditions including gestalt, psychodynamic, existential and transpersonal psychology. It also means that I am interested in what “personal integration” looks like for you. We may uncover parts of ourselves that have been hidden from view, bringing together aspects of our existence that previously felt completely separate and unrelated. Developing a more integrated view of ourselves makes it more possible to be kind to ourselves and others, to hold healthy boundaries with ourselves and the world, and to tolerate difficult emotional experiences without reverting to coping mechanisms that no longer work for us. I am passionate about the right of trainee therapists to have safe and ethical experiences in their training and placements.
