Renata is a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and is also registered with the Health Professions Council as a practicing Clinical and Health Psychologist.
Renata has completed her psychology degree in Middlesex University and went on to do a Masters of Science in Health Psychology in the University of Bath. She pursued her first doctorate training in Health Psychology at City University and during this period gained experience working for the NHS in smoking cessation and chronic disease management. She then went on to complete a second Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in Royal Holloway, University of London and further developed her skills working across a number of settings including physical rehabilitation, adult mental health, children, learning disabilities and older adults.
To-date she has 11 years experience working for the National Health Service and currently works for the Maudsley in Liaison Psychiatry. She also sees private clients and supports them with a number of physical and mental health difficulties including addictions, anxiety and depression, self-harm, marital difficulties, post-traumatic stress disorder, phobias and in many cases co-existing physical health problems. Renata also works in academia as a Programme Director for a Doctorate in Health Psychology programme in London.
Renata is integrative in her approach and she uses a number of different models and therapeutic models in her work to better match client’s difficulties including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Systemic Therapy, Brief Psychodynamic and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
On a personal level, Renata lives in Hertfordshire with her husband, 2 small children and cat.
