Yasmine is a chartered psychologist and member of the British Psychology Society. In addition, she is a fully accredited CBT therapist from the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapy (BABCP) and a licensed metacognitive therapist from the metacognitive therapy institute (MCT-I).

Yasmine holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Manchester where she worked under the supervision of Professor Adrian Wells. After obtaining her doctorate, she joined the NHS in 2009 and has been since working as a CBT therapist. She trained as CBT therapist at the Institute of Psychiatry at King’s College, London. Yasmine has also trained in metacognitive therapy at the MCT-I by Professors Adrian Wells and Hans Nordhal and has successfully completed both levels 1 and 2 of the training.

Her clinical experience has been extensive both in the United Kingdom and in Lebanon. Yasmine specialised in adult treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, generalised anxiety, social phobia, low self-esteem, claustrophobia, agoraphobia, borderline personality disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She has a particular interest in treating individuals who have been exposed to traumatic environments, from everyday situations to war zones. Her most recent clinical experience in the NHS is in the delivery of high intensity, short-term therapy with clear objective outcomes.

Yasmine divides her time between private practice and work as a High Intensity Therapist for the Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.

Yasmine is fluent in four languages: English, Arabic, French and Spanish.

On a personal note, Yasmine lives in Hertfordshire with her husband and 2 daughters.
