Salary: £8,600 per annum


Hours: 15 hours (five 3-hour mornings)


The Albany Centre is an organisation dedicated to providing training and therapy services including counselling, professional counselling training and clinical supervision. We also hire out rooms to independent practitioners, small businesses and training companies.

Located in the heart of St Albans, The Albany Centre is seeking an organised, dedicated colleague with proven experience in administration, IT and managing a variety of tasks to work alongside the two directors and two other staff members. This post requires an innovative individual to build on our success and share our vision.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, innovative and personable, and will:

  • Oversee the weekday administration of the Centre and carry out general office duties and care of the Centre
  • Have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Have experience and competence in the use of IT packages including Word, Excel, email and basic book-keeping
  • Be the first point of contact for counselling and room enquiries, and for referrals for The Albany Centre and potential students
  • Greet and provide hospitality and information to clients and prospective Centre users
  • Support the co-ordination and publicity of key projects, events and training
  • Assist on our social media, website and newsletter communications
  • Be able to work flexible hours, usually mornings
